Preconstruction

Initial Meeting – meet with our team to explore your vision, needs, and budget for your new home.  We will go over the build process and get to know what you want in your home.

Draw & Finalize Plans – We will collaborate with you and your architect to refine your home design and ensure it aligns with your vision.  We also have a draftsman on staff to get your ideas through the CAD process and turned into final houseplans.

Contract Signing – Once you’re ready to proceed, we’ll finalize the details and sign the contract to officially begin your building journey.

Lot Acquisition – We use our long standing relationships with local real estate professionals to help you find the perfect lot or land.  If you already have a lot or parcel of land purchased we will walk you through getting utilities and dealing with any other site concerns.

Foundation

After determining where you would like your home to sit on your lot or land we will stake out the exact location of your new home. Following that we will excavate the area for the basement (if you have one), and then begin pouring the foundation of your new home.

Design Selection

The selections begin with a consultation to discuss your vision with our designer, who will provide expert guidance and help you visualize your choices. You’ll attend organized meetings to choose: garage doors, windows, exterior brick/stone, countertops flooring/backsplashes, appliances, cabinets, baseboards, casing, & interior doors.  Paint colors pull all of your selections together!

Framing

The framework of your house starts being constructed, defining the layout of rooms and spaces.  Slight adjustments can be made as your home really starts to take form.  We will meet onsite with the framing crew to see if anything needs to be adjusted and then lay out cabinets & appliances so they can be on order.  The framing crew will install the windows & doors once framing is complete.

Roofing & Rough-In Walk-Through

Roofing will be installed and all plumbing, HVAC and electrical rough-ins within the walls are ready to be done. We will meet & review plumbing, HVAC and electrical placements & options with us to make sure you are satisfied.  If anything needs to be adjusted we will work with out subcontractors to get you answers and updated prices.

Interior Design Selection

During this selection you will work with our designer to select: countertops, flooring, sinks, and tile (showers, backsplash, floor), hardware, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, and lighting. We will also include paint selection and go over the design of the fireplace wall and range hood. Many of these ideas will have been collected over the planning and early build process.

Insulation & Drywall

When framing & rough-in inspection is complete we will install insulation for energy efficiency and soundproofing.  After that we are ready to install drywall on the walls and ceilings.

Trim Walk-Through

We will meet with the team and trim carpenters to review all built-in designs, cabinet layouts, and trim options.

Trim & Cabinet

Your house will start to feel like a home as the trim work and cabinetry are installed throughout the home.

Painting

Your paint & stain selections will come to life as the painting crew finished the trim & gets the walls painted.

Interior Installation

Countertops, tile, hardware, flooring are installed as your home gets closer to completion.  Many details such as hardware placement and tile patterns are confirmed with the installer to ensure we are all on the same page.

Final Touches

A thorough cleaning of the house is done before move-in, along with paint touch-up & any other finishing touches that need to be completed.

Final Walk-Through

A final punch list walk-through with your project manager to ensure everything meets your expectations before move-in.
